Who are we?
In 1975, with the completion of the
Oroville, American River and Bullard’s Bar Dams, Williams and Lane (the Detroit Diesel Allison Distributorship) decided to
close their Yuba City California branch. The branch manager, John
Prochaska Sr., realizing an opportunity with the rapid growth of Detroit Diesel Allison product in the area, decided to stay and North Valley Diesel was born, a full service Detroit Diesel and
Allison Transmission dealership. In 1989, with the same customer commitment as his father, John Prochaska Jr.
aka
Johnny
took over ownership and developed
North Valley Diesel into what it is today.
North Valley Diesel services and supports
not only Detroit Diesel & Allison Transmission Products, but also Perkins, Cat, Cummins, Deutz, Hatz,
Isuzu, Ford, International, Onan and others. Whether it be in an on highway vehicles such as Truck, Motor home or Bus, or Off Highway equipment and industrial units such as generators or
pumps, no job is to big or small.
What separates us from our competition?
Over the years diesel engines and transmissions have undergone many changes. With the introduction of electronic controls,
many shops were unable effectively troubleshoot and correctly repair the
newer models. We at North Valley Diesel have committed ourselves to
maintain this ability,
and so we have invested heavily in the ever changing diagnostic equipment required, to
properly troubleshoot and repair today’s rolling and stationary equipment. We look forward to serving whatever needs you may have.
